Music is a great tool for observation. With music, you can see how children respond to music and see how they react to one another as a group. You will learn which kids are assertive, which kids are more reserved, which kids can follow along with a particular dance move, etc. And as children’s movement skills develop, you can increase the difficulty of dance moves to follow along with a song. Observing how children handle the increased difficulty can be a good way to document the progress of a child’s development.
